The majority of arrivals were recorded in Batam (78.16 percent), followed by Bintan (13.88 percent) and Karimun (5.02 percent). Other contributing countries included India (59 arrivals), Myanmar (50 arrivals), the United States (23 arrivals), and France (37 arrivals). Meanwhile, arrivals from countries such as Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, and the Netherlands were relatively smaller but still contributed to the diversity of tourist markets in Tanjungpinang. Overall, the data highlights that the main markets for international tourism in Tanjungpinang are still dominated by Singapore, Malaysia, and China, which consistently account for the largest shares of total arrivals. Cumulative Growth, January–July 2025 From January to July 2025, international tourist arrivals in Tanjungpinang reached 37,185 visits, up 24.71 percent compared to 29,818 visits in the same period of 2024.

In addition, growth was also observed from the United Kingdom, France, Myanmar, Australia, and South Korea. However, some countries recorded a decline, including Taiwan, the Netherlands, Russia, and several European countries. Despite monthly fluctuations, the cumulative trend continues to indicate the growth of tourism in Tanjungpinang Municipality. Long-Term Trends Viewed over a longer period, the number of international tourist arrivals in Tanjungpinang has shown fluctuating patterns. The highest level was recorded in 2019, followed by a decline in subsequent years. These data indicate that international tourist arrivals in Tanjungpinang generally reflect the growth of tourism, although variations are still present across different years. Conclusion In summary, international tourist arrivals in Tanjungpinang during July 2025 recorded a monthly decline but continued to show annual cumulative growth. Singapore, Malaysia, and China remain the three largest source countries, contributing significantly to the total number of arrivals.
